Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

1. Who we are

Athlete OS is a coach-first training and performance management platform for endurance and sailing athletes. It is operated as a solo-founder product. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at zanluka.zelko@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Account information — name, email address, and role (Coach or Athlete), collected via Clerk when you sign up.
  • Training data — sessions, training stress scores, power, heart rate, and other performance metrics you log manually.
  • Health and readiness data — morning check-in responses, HRV readings, sleep, RPE, and subjective wellness scores you choose to enter.
  • Nutrition logs — fuel entries and meal timing you record in the app.
  • Coaching notes — notes written by coaches linked to your account.
  • Usage data — basic analytics such as page views and feature interactions, used to improve the product.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and operate the Athlete OS platform.
  • To calculate training load metrics (CTL, ATL, TSB) and readiness scores.
  • To power AI-generated coaching suggestions via the Anthropic Claude API. AI outputs are assistant-only and always subject to coach review — never presented as medical advice.
  • To give your linked coach visibility into your training and readiness.
  • To improve and debug the product.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the sub-processors needed to operate the platform:

  • Clerk — authentication and user management (US-based, SOC 2 compliant).
  • Neon — PostgreSQL database hosted in EU (eu-central-1). Your training and health data lives here.
  • Vercel — hosting and edge network.
  • Anthropic — Claude AI API, used only to generate coaching suggestions. Data sent to Anthropic is subject to their privacy policy.

5. Data storage and security

Your training and health data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon in the EU (eu-central-1 region). Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We apply the principle of least-privilege access — coaches can only see athletes they are explicitly linked to.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access a copy of all data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email zanluka.zelko@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and training records will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children

Athlete OS is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
